Materials & care
Wood, slate, metal, acrylic and canvas each give a design its own personality. Here's what each one is like, what it's great for and how to keep it looking its best.
Wood
Warm and natural, with grain that makes every piece a little different. Wood feels personal and timeless.
Great for: family signs, keepsakes, home décor, wedding and anniversary gifts.
Care: dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from standing water and direct heat.
Slate
Natural stone with a deep, dark surface and rugged edges. Designs stand out with strong contrast, and each piece has its own texture.
Great for: house signs, memorials, pet keepsakes and pieces meant to feel substantial.
Care: wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. The natural edges can be uneven, so handle with care.
Metal
Clean lines and a sharp, contemporary finish. Metal suits bold graphics, logos and modern spaces.
Great for: business signs, awards, photo pieces and modern gifts.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
Acrylic
Glossy, bright and lightweight. Acrylic brings out color and fine detail, which makes photos look vivid.
Great for: photo pieces, ornaments, display signs and colorful décor.
Care: clean with a microfiber cloth and mild soapy water. Skip paper towels and ammonia-based glass cleaners, which can scratch or cloud acrylic.
Canvas
Soft texture and a classic, gallery look. Canvas gives photos and artwork a painterly finish that feels at home on any wall.
Great for: family photos, pet portraits, artwork reproductions and wall art for living rooms and nurseries.
Care: dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture to protect the colors.
